1. Happy 75th birthday to Debbie Harry! —Ed. A bit of history: When Blondie signed on with Australian producer Mike Chapman (of Chapman and Nicky Chinn glam rock fame) to record their breakthrough LP Parallel Lines, little did they know what they were in for. Deborah Harry, Chris Stein, and the rest of the band had a rather punk attitude towards the studio, and everything else for that.

5. The album consists of a single minute-long work that hovers at the edges of experimental/free jazz - specifically the points where it meets musique concrete, electronic composition and post-rock. Rocketnumbernine, Oval and The Books are very rough touchstones, but really this is the work of a band in a league of its own.
